Lavender Labyrinth
and Herb Garden
The lavender is typically in full bloom mid to late July. There's always something blooming in the herb garden at the center of the labyrinth during the summer months.
The labyrinth is an ancient spiral pattern which, when walked, is thought to be a spiritual journey, and symbolic of one's path in life. In recent years, labyrinths have undergone a dramatic revival as a meditation, relaxation, and spiritual tool. Unlike a maze, a labyrinth is a continuous circuit and you cannot get lost.

Our labyrinth was specifically created for this location, and is considered a contemporary design. Earth mounds and lavender plants define the path that spirals around a stone circle which is the center, or goal, of the labyrinth.
An arbor towers above the stone circle and surrounds an herb garden. Designed in accordance with the principles of sacred geometry, the 12-point vesica pattern defines 36 beds filled with dozens of herbal varieties. Have you ever smelled the breeze after it has brushed a bed of basil? We invite you to walk the paths, absorb the essences, and experience the serenity of this unique garden.
Note that the elements of time are represented in the design: One stone circle, 12 interlocking circles, 52 arbor posts, and seven cross pieces.
Lavender is a spectacular addition to our orchards of red fruit. In mid-July, an explosion of color and fragrance surrounds the stone circle as long rows of purple perfumed stems wave in the wind, inviting you to walk among them. A delightful herb, lavender has an array of benefits and purposes: Culinary, medicinal, and aromatic. We sell bulk lavender and many lavender products in our market.
There is no charge to walk the labyrinth and herb garden. It is available to all during business hours.
