Cherry Point Labyrinth

Labyrinths are found around the world. They have existed since the beginning of time.

In recent years Labyrinths have undergone a dramatic revival as a meditation, relaxation and spiritual tool. Beginning in churches in the United States, this renewal now encompasses religious communities of all types, hospitals & health care facilities, spas & retreat centers, schools & universities, public parks, memorials & healing gardens and even progressive businesses. Labyrinths have appeared in such varied settings as Central Park in New York City, Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore and a downtown square in Zurich, Switzerland."²

Unlike a maze, a labyrinth is a continuous circuit and you cannot get lost. Pilgrims entering the great cathederals of France during the middle ages, walked the labyrinths inlaid in the cathederal floor to prepare them for the sacred experience they were about to participate in.
